The Aspergillosis Trust is a brand new patiënt – centred advocacy group. It’s run by patiënts and carers in the UK and EU, with the support of the National Aspergillosis Center ( NAC ) in Manchester, UK.
It aims a rare, debilitating and sometimes a deadly infection. It can attack people of any age. Aspergillosis Trust ( AT ) also raise funding for desperately needed research.
Aim of AT ( Aspergillosis Trust )
We aim to achieve this purpose by celebraties public eye. Then with their assistance we will promote awareness and understanding of the conditions in various campaigns. In due course this will make Aspergillosis a far more readily recognisable set of conditions, than at present (April 2018).
Once Aspergillosis is better known, it should be recognised and diagnosed by doctors more swiftly throughout the UK, EU and Worldwide. This will enable more people to get the right treatment promptly.
NB:The UK has an existing centre for the diagnosis and treatment of Aspergillosis at the National Aspergillosis Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, UK ( in the North ). Another smaller Aspergillosis clinic runs at Brompton Hospital, London, UK, which is in the progress of becoming a specialist centre for the South UK.
NOTE: the Aspergillosis Trust ( AT ) is not a registered charity. It is an advocacy group consisting and any fundraising wil go directly to the Aspergillosis website.
